Home, yet lost

I'm on my bed in my parent's house surrounded by the familiarity of my teenage years and beyond. I'm home, but I'm at a loss for what to do next.

I've been dealing with immense changes over the past three days, grasping for phantom limbs, things I've suddenly lost in the dark.

I didn't know leaving Hungary this year would knock me off my feet. It has and I'm on the floor struggling like a fish out of water.

So, in the meantime, while I'm waiting for someone or something to splash a little water onto me, and reveling in the sweet writing juices that come with hard times, I've come up with a new blog in which I will try to post every day, a new routine, where hopefully I can find some solace.

Hi,

I just stumbled upon your blog by accident, and I have read it with interest, but mostly I am intrigued about the picture of one of your pictures. It is under the headline 'Majestic Budapest', and it displays the statue of a woman (perhaps a gratie), standing in a misty pond surrounded by a bench, trees, and bushes. Would U be so kind as to inform me, where the picture was taken?

I am currently living in Pest, and I have yet a lot of the city to explore. :)

Thank U for a nice story.

Hi rihaala,

The picture with the statue was taken in my favorite part of Budapest. It's in the Japanese Garden on Margaret Island (Margit Sziget) in between Margit bridge and Arpad bridge in the middle of the Danube. There are many trails and paths to take walking around the island. The garden is located near the north end of the island, nearest Arpad bridge. Good luck and have a great time exploring Budapest!
